

Harvest Film Fest (HFF) –
Official Rules & Submission Guidelines
Theme: “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”
The Harvest Film Fest (HFF) is an opportunity for creators to tell meaningful stories through film inspired by the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:37. Whether serious, creative, documentary-style, narrative, animated, stop-motion or another artistic style, entries should reflect and engage with the event theme.
1. Eligibility

HFF is open to individuals and teams.

Participants may submit multiple entries.

By submitting, participants affirm they have permission to use all video, music, images, and other content included in their film

All submissions should be received by September 4th.

A submission form is required and may be emailed to brandon@remixstl.com.
2. Film Requirements

Films must be 5 minutes or less.

Entries should meaningfully connect to the theme:
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” -
Any genre or filming style is welcome.

Films should be suitable for a church and family audience.

Submissions will not glorify violence or abuse.

Submissions will not use cursing or vulgar language.
3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Guidelines

Limited use of AI-generated content is permitted.
-
Judges strongly prefer little to no AI-generated visuals, voices, or storytelling elements.

Original filming, writing, editing, and creative effort will be valued during judging.

Participants should be prepared to disclose significant AI use if requested.
4. Submission Instructions
Entries may be submitted in one of two ways:
Option 1 – YouTube Submission
Upload your film to YouTube and submit the video link.
Option 2 – Thumb Drive Drop-Off
Deliver your video on a thumb drive to Remix Church.

5. Thumb Drive Policy

HFF will make reasonable efforts to return submitted thumb drives; however, return is not guaranteed.

Participants wishing to retrieve their thumb drives may pick them up no later than October 10.
6. Selection & Screening

A panel of judges will review all submissions.

The Top 10 films will be selected for public screening at the Harvest Film Fest.

Selection is based on creativity, theme integration, storytelling, originality, and overall quality.
7. Event Information

8. Awards

One film will receive the Overall Winner award.

Additional awards may be presented and will be announced the night of the event.
9. Rights & Permissions
By submitting, participants grant Harvest Film Fest permission to screen their submitted film during the event and use excerpts or still images for festival promotion.
